Mansfield Melancon Attorney Collin Melancon has been Appointed to Louisiana’s Judicial Council

Congratulations to Mansfield Melancon attorney Collin Melancon for being appointed to Louisiana’s Judicial Council. Collin will serve a three-year term commencing January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2021.  The membership of the Judicial Council is comprised of Louisiana Supreme Court Justices, other appellate, district, and city court judges, local attorneys from around the State, and members of the Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate.

As a member of the Judicial Council, Collin will be tasked to make continuous study of the organization of the courts, of the rules, procedures, and practices of the judicial system of the State, as well as of the work accomplished and the results attained by it, and of the uniformity of the exercise of discretionary power of the courts, to the end that procedure may be simplified, business expedited, and justice better administered.  He will also receive and consider suggestions from judges, public officers, members of the bar, and citizens relating to remedies for faults in the administration of justice.
